My stitching is no longer enough to keep a blog going so I have started a new one. It will still cover my stitiching which will probably still be the main thrust of it to be honest, but it will also cover other things.<br />
<br />
So if you are still out there, please join me at <a href="http://cathswittering.blogspot.co.uk/">Cath's Witterings</a> where we can continue this journey together.<br />

Thanks for following!<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNRb49nqpHZ3as0ktLhY91VGH5MANuPabWUnlMJXwx9z2WRgHFQ6I313H7KAB2PCxje65S77W99V4udOKw7Msjf1DxIDFrnwfUFHU7U7NUVd7HG0Tr_O0zJIpGUHXE1GADo2dYG6bWE6GU/s1600/2012-10-01+07.43.32.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNRb49nqpHZ3as0ktLhY91VGH5MANuPabWUnlMJXwx9z2WRgHFQ6I313H7KAB2PCxje65S77W99V4udOKw7Msjf1DxIDFrnwfUFHU7U7NUVd7HG0Tr_O0zJIpGUHXE1GADo2dYG6bWE6GU/s320/2012-10-01+07.43.32.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Nose and glass of wine pretty much completed.<br />
<br />
I'm also pleased to say that Autumn Fairy was presented to MIL for her 70th Birthday at the weekend and she loved it, so another success.<br />
<br />
Now on to that weekly dilema, what to stitch next!CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-90206939422260249332012-09-24T08:41:00.000+01:002012-09-24T08:41:05.939+01:00Decisions Made!So I've decided, this weeks stitching will be Curl Up With A Good Book. I've only got one and a half pages to go to finish it so it seems the obvious choice. This is what it looks like at the start of the week:-<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAYUK5YKpDyR3Cj2x9zWj-tkxRh0mykzSElcfmycAGPVm40aNWTeVor3FV9-Oa-75K-hGkYPii9F9gQQaR7UPA298Xka95n-RTQx-skoOW2RI6a27MWlH15ieaf_YaoElW5IpaedSZNtF0/s1600/Curl+Up+8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAYUK5YKpDyR3Cj2x9zWj-tkxRh0mykzSElcfmycAGPVm40aNWTeVor3FV9-Oa-75K-hGkYPii9F9gQQaR7UPA298Xka95n-RTQx-skoOW2RI6a27MWlH15ieaf_YaoElW5IpaedSZNtF0/s320/Curl+Up+8.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Being realistic, I'm going to try to complete his nose and the bowl of the glass of wine. We shall see how far I get.<br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting!<br />
CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-66829176654457371512012-09-23T08:21:00.001+01:002012-09-23T08:21:37.765+01:00Next?One week on and it's time to think about what gets stitched next. Dragonfly has progressed quite well although I didn't finish all the black for the page (might have had something to do with getting the Supernatural expansion pack for The Sims 3 and spending most of my spare time exploring that!). Anyway, she looks like this now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikl9N3hiPOlHx_vCr8DoKyTCX2-3p4gPcH4hOrXbpeGbvt6wKZ0YTtGYBLpoUKYQGKFFVimvOQGuPMnjZrYc-uQ9oeAtvTwB9hwDeO7w6GLeqUzz_zlRbqiRWF3k-g1Oi3FU4bzwYjpZfV/s1600/2012-09-23+08.07.51.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikl9N3hiPOlHx_vCr8DoKyTCX2-3p4gPcH4hOrXbpeGbvt6wKZ0YTtGYBLpoUKYQGKFFVimvOQGuPMnjZrYc-uQ9oeAtvTwB9hwDeO7w6GLeqUzz_zlRbqiRWF3k-g1Oi3FU4bzwYjpZfV/s320/2012-09-23+08.07.51.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
So there is definatley progress. That little squre of black on the right hand side is the start of the next column and after that there is one more column of black to finish the page.<br />
<br />
Autmn Fairy has been framed and is already to hand over as a gift next week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZbT5NjYEV6o6hZS8n5TwJQzpjp0QgsdbruQDuWJqM5CZz1Bg1_SIFzpSzz7TKMpZOwa0gp8RKzowgrH0ey5OeFwSVaniZaMusKhu7ZE5JVVMLuWQPZlBSCm1hluisPyiZttBU_hhUjY5E/s1600/2012-09-20+15.02.49.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZbT5NjYEV6o6hZS8n5TwJQzpjp0QgsdbruQDuWJqM5CZz1Bg1_SIFzpSzz7TKMpZOwa0gp8RKzowgrH0ey5OeFwSVaniZaMusKhu7ZE5JVVMLuWQPZlBSCm1hluisPyiZttBU_hhUjY5E/s320/2012-09-20+15.02.49.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
So the question is, what next? I think it will either be Curl Up with a Good Book or Celtic Summer. We shall see.<br />
<br />
Happy stitching and thanks for visiting. Please feel free to leave a coment even if you're just passing through.<br />

At last I've found a way around my problem so here it all is.<br />
<br />
Ok, sunday is going to be the start of my rotations. So having finished Autmn Fairy, I am going to move on to Dragonfly for this week.<br />
<br />
Here is a picture of the finished Autumn Fairy. It's not great, just realised there's a fold in the fabric so it looks like she is leaning backwards - whoops! Anyway, she is being washed at the moment and I'll take another pic once she is framed.<br />
<br />

There is a lot of 310 to go on this page, but I'm about half way through it so hoepfully I might see some colour before the end of the week.CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-85550392740997795152012-09-12T23:12:00.002+01:002012-09-12T23:12:47.116+01:00FINISHWoo hoo! I've been so bad at this, and I used to be so good! I'm going to try again at being more active with my blog. <br />
<br />
I've got several pieces that are started and not nearing a finish so I shall shortly be starting a rotation.<br />
<br />
First off is Autumn Fairy, published in the September 2009 issue of Cross Stitch collection. I'm stitching this as a gift so it currently has priority over everything until it is finished. Having said that there is only a little bit of back stitch and some beeds to add to get it finished. She currently looks like this:-<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Sorry, I'm not the best photographer. She needs some more backstitch on her wings, then three diferent types of beeds scattered around. So hopefully a finish in the not to distant future.CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-45416003502233811902012-04-16T18:14:00.002+01:002012-04-16T18:21:05.183+01:00Well, it's been another long break since I've updated this and yes, I am still in existance and still stitching.<br /><br /><br />Curl up with a good book has no more progress on it than before, but Dragonfly does have something to show.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg4WZ5IMQlITsVJo1TVEB5UWjwXAD0WgvI2ADBDvrdnDTag_mNvhDhiofQFR6XfVeGp-cs4ZtIkBojmKVAgcChrqYohIzvvtRCUhVex827kd2zgj9FiSDqCfIzmmgnr6qnj2tN9tdm8e-b/s1600/dragonfly16.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 305px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732049188698170482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg4WZ5IMQlITsVJo1TVEB5UWjwXAD0WgvI2ADBDvrdnDTag_mNvhDhiofQFR6XfVeGp-cs4ZtIkBojmKVAgcChrqYohIzvvtRCUhVex827kd2zgj9FiSDqCfIzmmgnr6qnj2tN9tdm8e-b/s320/dragonfly16.jpg" /></a><br /><div> This is the start of the last full row of pages (if that makes sense). I'm really not very good at this anymore.</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><div>Dragonfly is still progressing slowly, however I have finished another page of Curl Up With a Good Book so he now looks like this:- <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5674528640340388738" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAYUK5YKpDyR3Cj2x9zWj-tkxRh0mykzSElcfmycAGPVm40aNWTeVor3FV9-Oa-75K-hGkYPii9F9gQQaR7UPA298Xka95n-RTQx-skoOW2RI6a27MWlH15ieaf_YaoElW5IpaedSZNtF0/s320/Curl+Up+8.jpg" /></div></div><br /><br /><p>I've also just finished a piece I started last year (I think). I really can't remember where it came from except that it was a freebee on the internet somewhere. Sorry, that's not very helpful is it. If anybody knows the design and can point me in the right direction I will give the designer the full credit that she/he deserves. What this picture doesn't show very well is that each stitch is intertwined with a sparkly silver thread so the whole design has a sparkle to it.</p><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 242px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5674528641945541234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0P2a1O_tiho5-KsUJiYd-UT_WYhtWeeEfq4hQlNeE5-hoQWvHleJsrOeCKTFapuY-YqDi5pwm0W0P0I2islxCqxWKfVfMCHnMGRJRzlLA_7Sd23QY9QY95PzUxZLHeMBAxznvpI8XDy1x/s320/snowpoem2.jpg" /></p>CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-11628169860842613142011-07-30T12:06:00.003+01:002011-07-30T12:09:37.947+01:00An update at last!<div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>I may not have posted for a while but I have been busy with my stitching. I'm a day late due to my daughter taking the camera with her on the school skiing trip so I've been unable to take a pic. I can't really say too much about what the threads are as I dropped the jar twice and all the threads fell out and got mixed up together. The white ones on the top are from the candle in Curl Up with a Good Book and if you can see any sparkly gold, then that is from Celtic Summer (yes I actually stitched a little bit of that one!). <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_FAcwPe7mLWczzkMPeI7pU7KAXwdppUCrNbRVD4Gy7KYVvq5oR9JnSq2qiByDXZishyAZWAYnyNmMofNetXtS4xhNrNKUyD1qZaqDs5vitArRYnANxATD1wXxb5SWykko0HtslnHFXg5C/s1600/tusal.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591779181234972978" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_FAcwPe7mLWczzkMPeI7pU7KAXwdppUCrNbRVD4Gy7KYVvq5oR9JnSq2qiByDXZishyAZWAYnyNmMofNetXtS4xhNrNKUyD1qZaqDs5vitArRYnANxATD1wXxb5SWykko0HtslnHFXg5C/s320/tusal.JPG" /></a> <br /><div>And here is Curl Up with A Good Book. This is page 2 finished and I know have to wait until May for page 3. Am still loving it though.</div><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirb_zR1GjnhN5vhBV1qv25-rqw7ygoh2xosBlkxY9DZLBEzuyW7QFaSc0dv1VKnrHOzvj3ao76hx8klSmbllPiOZ9y_tkWsBM_9I9IBALt2b2I4E12scFfldmfcQIIWKeSX_CAmBKWZbV-/s1600/Curl+Up+5.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591779185359491154" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirb_zR1GjnhN5vhBV1qv25-rqw7ygoh2xosBlkxY9DZLBEzuyW7QFaSc0dv1VKnrHOzvj3ao76hx8klSmbllPiOZ9y_tkWsBM_9I9IBALt2b2I4E12scFfldmfcQIIWKeSX_CAmBKWZbV-/s320/Curl+Up+5.JPG" /></a>CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-185054390962490062011-03-11T16:39:00.004+00:002011-03-11T16:46:23.174+00:00Page 1 FinishHere it is, I've finished page 1 of Curl Up with a Good Book. I love the little dragon appearing at the bottom of the page.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5582863193415265986" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpTw_1A0yoUk6jhQGJTm6ucev6_PwB3CBe89M55r6ZTzsQME0TdytF5oTvJwFo7gfGKsEB0OmmiMqCb7nzh5j-qD-KXy-7mkijJn4u4R3z0C8aebxftCUN5DVVh9IOq6gjwAAGfLoncMU3/s320/curl+up+4.JPG" /><br /><br /><p>Page 2 arrived at the begining of the month and the fabric is now gridded and ready to go! The next page has a lot less confetti and should stitch up a lot quicker.</p><p>I actually picked up Celtic Summer this week. It was amazing how much bigger the stitches felt and it seemed odd stitching with two threads again. However, she's had her stint for now and she's going back into the box. The question is, which to do, Curl Up or Dragonfly?</p>CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-24913706232863474922011-03-04T15:21:00.002+00:002011-03-04T15:24:52.132+00:00TUSALI can't believe that the new moon has come around already! I hope to finish this page in it's next rotation which will be the begining of March. I ment to update this on Friday, I took a piccy and everything and now it's nearly the next Friday. Somebody slow the world down please!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Last week's stitching was on Enchanted Flute and I did make some progress. For some reason I was dreading stitching on it, as you may have noticed it has been ignored for some time. I think this is because of the amount of confetti stitching and the size of fabric I chose (32 ct - must have been mad). By the bottom of this page of chart I think the whole row is 310 so there is still plenty more to go.</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG6AJXTDeYQIRSFfZLnRuiPNkLeyMYU6NHNQPMUI6WV1eWTxVguemWoqRq52Ptkrg3rVGQILAsvZolP0rSr5PRZmwDtGTjG0B8uKgdu8NLJ6OEQY-GEV1VnDARdd9TWBLVhP13EKwRUWgv/s1600/dragonfly11.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5564598569669306082" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG6AJXTDeYQIRSFfZLnRuiPNkLeyMYU6NHNQPMUI6WV1eWTxVguemWoqRq52Ptkrg3rVGQILAsvZolP0rSr5PRZmwDtGTjG0B8uKgdu8NLJ6OEQY-GEV1VnDARdd9TWBLVhP13EKwRUWgv/s320/dragonfly11.jpg" /></a>But Dragonfly goes away now for a week while I stitch on the much neglected Enchanted Flute. There isn't too much to do to finish page 4 on this one so that is my aim for this week and the colours will definatley make a change to black.</div><div><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5564599487271359458" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvGqUM1QgFJgZqdN9H8PQjfzul5syrsQFHPceEnzGIvISeZvBTu_1WbfDNVB91Jq8r_aRr5GcCepnZ4Sjy-EZvYxVYakMq6xrLsDsFCd_Z2OsIfwXSGVlYfHb-wVeQObf6EW8UxmIKkFWV/s320/ef18.jpg" /><br /><br /><div></div>CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1415784693967688538.post-11914289066944151732011-01-14T11:29:00.007+00:002011-01-14T11:40:58.963+00:00Christmas already?I know, Christmas is only just over but if I don't make some early progress on the advent calender I don't think it will ever be finished! So here are numbers 6 and 7.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyFHfW9sj3xCBe8m6gcyUnFOGE4b9_skWnMKEg7Fduj384iZsz2t_hcktY68P2U9z5xZXUOrsBRwJ0oGSo-Rbzsp9eA8eEXqOFyNyWdcKTy9eKjC8OdFwu-PlOC7gASpI_9u3CC_4Oikkp/s1600/advent6.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562003420897238818" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyFHfW9sj3xCBe8m6gcyUnFOGE4b9_skWnMKEg7Fduj384iZsz2t_hcktY68P2U9z5xZXUOrsBRwJ0oGSo-Rbzsp9eA8eEXqOFyNyWdcKTy9eKjC8OdFwu-PlOC7gASpI_9u3CC_4Oikkp/s320/advent6.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX3WNlEpjVlixEb6S9uPyF_VedUrOrvtEoTBl_M903Ye20SKBsjgeZIrIon1ARkIs9JCd-7lkIzGDLIjQuhQ3HDi2oGSC0yyvmZBqedc9jObak95fLAVxv8q20hLhKXsAxp9SsUZDcMgom/s1600/advent7.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562003369153253618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX3WNlEpjVlixEb6S9uPyF_VedUrOrvtEoTBl_M903Ye20SKBsjgeZIrIon1ARkIs9JCd-7lkIzGDLIjQuhQ3HDi2oGSC0yyvmZBqedc9jObak95fLAVxv8q20hLhKXsAxp9SsUZDcMgom/s320/advent7.jpg" /></a><br />And here is my progress on Curl Up With a Good Book.<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 310px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562002636353707730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguSokkbfYUTK7uxP9ofxYHkn6sFNttPbvav3ctYNuHVOGuOrol7Qu4Q_bpDwr7h568HgtAPviJaA1HNMK-6M-lMdzrkLsh_V-hEVDzVO1D4BuR_zw1s3moz30e4FCwiESMjUj-8F-Xw8og/s320/curl+up+2.jpg" /> I am getting really torn between my three HAED projects so I'm going to try to do them on rotation but making Dragonfly my priority so the plan is (and knowing me it is subject to change!) one week Dragonfly, one week Enchanted Flute, one week Dragonfly, one week Curl Up one week Dragonfly etc. Advent calender - nights when DH is away. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Unfortuantly this leaves Celtic Summer out in the cold, so to speak and I'm trying to work out the best way to slot her in and make progress on things. Maybe she and Enchanted Flute should take it in turns as a few solid weeks work on her could see her finished. Anyway, solution to be decided on that one.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Happy stitching all.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><div></div></div></div></div>CathEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05131341763192357133noreply@blogger.com2
